European unification is up for grabs. Belief in Europe is currently a high-stakes bet. The European Union in its current state is as good as unsustainable, and the European population realises this. Half of the citizens want to return to nationalism; the other half want more Europe, a different Europe, and are not willing to settle for a lost bet. Civil society is therefore working with increasing passion and vision for a renewal of structures.
On 26 May 2019, the citizens will decide on the future of Europe. Never before has the European Commission spent so much money on mobilising voters and on European projects of all kinds. Will we just manage not to fall off the tightrope again?
