Similar reform policies were implemented at this time in Germany under Willy Brandt or in Sweden under Prime Minister Olof Palme. The conference \u201eIngeniously against it - What would Bruno Kreisky have proposed today?\" aims to address the question of whether such a reform offensive is necessary today and whether it would be possible, not least against the backdrop of the global financial and economic crisis. After all, social justice and economic prosperity are not contradictory; in the long term, one cannot be achieved without the other. But what can a new welfare state capitalism look like? What needs to be done to make the global economy more stable? How can more democracy be brought into our democracy?
