He served as Assistant Deputy Foreign Minister for Disarmament Affairs at the Egyptian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and previously served at Egyptian Embassies\/Permanent Missions in Brasilia, Pretoria and New York.<br \/>Khaled Abdelrahman Shamaa has worked in the areas of Disarmament, Non-Proliferation, International Security, Humanitarian Affairs, Transnational Threats, as well as the Non-Aligned Movement.<br \/>He holds a Bachelor degree in Engineering from Cairo University and a Masters Degree in International Affairs from George Washington University. He is married and father of two girls and one boy.<\/p>\n<p>After the revolution of January 2011 Egypt lived a period of massive turmoil, a short experience of political dominance of the Muslim Brotherhood was brought to an end in July 2013.
