In her memoirs, Elisabeth Orth talks about her family, her childhood during the war, her youth in the post-war period, her years in Germany and her return to Vienna twice. The reader comes very close to her in these stories.
The colleagues and directors with whom the artist has worked are a Who's Who of German-language theatre, from Oskar Werner, Klaus Maria Brandauer and Gert Voss to Nicholas Ofczarek; from Peter Zadek and Andrea Breth to Martin Ku\u0161ej and Robert Borgmann.
Elisabeth Orth is far from tired of playing. That's why \u00bbYou'll never amount to anything\u00ab can only be an interim report.<\/p>\n

Elisabeth Orth<\/strong>, born in Vienna in 1936, graduated from the Max Reinhardt Seminar. After her first engagements at the Volkstheater and the Theater der Courage, she moved to Ulm and the Residenztheater in Munich. She made her debut at the Burgtheater in 1965 and became a member of the ensemble there in 1968, interrupted by her engagement at the Schaub\u00fchne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin from 1955 to 1999. She is a recipient of the Kainz Medal, the Grillparzer Ring and the Austrian Cross of Honour as well as an honorary member of the Burgtheater.
Norbert Mayer<\/strong>, born in F\u00fcrstenfeld in 1958, has worked as a journalist in Graz, Brussels, Berlin and Vienna, including for \u00bbDer Standard\u00ab, \u00bbBerliner Zeitung\u00ab and \u00bbKurier\u00ab. Managing editor of the \u00bbPresse\u00ab since 2003.<\/p>\n
