Gudrun Harrer talks to Amr Hamzawy in this live online interview about this and about questions of current relevance in the Arab world, the situation of human rights and the rule of law in the region in the context of the tactic of \u201eblockade politics\u201c.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amr Hamzawy, <\/strong>Egyptian political scientist and Senior Research Scholar at the Centre for Democracy and Development at Stanford University, USA<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gudrun Harrer<\/strong>, Senior Editor, Der Standard; Lecturer for Modern History and Politics of the Near and Middle East at the University of Vienna and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Amr Hamzawy<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>Senior Research Scholar at the Centre for Democracy and Development at Stanford University, USA. Hamzawy was elected to the national parliament in the first parliamentary elections in Egypt after the revolution in January 2011 and was a member of the first Egyptian People's Assembly.
