In this talk, which constitutes the key note lecture to the closed workshop On Exile, Resistance and Universal Resonance that will be held at the Kreisky Forum 19-20 November, Nathalie Handal will explore various topics that regularly feature in her poetry, such as the concept of otherness or belonging that are central to the Palestinian experience.<\/p>\n<p>More detailed insights about Nathalie's life and poetry can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nathaliehandal.com\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Moderation <strong>Dr Refqa Abu-Remaileh<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nathalie Handal, <\/strong>French-American poet and writer born to a Palestinian family from Bethlehem.<br \/>\nNathalie is presently based in Rome and Abu Dhabi, where she is a professor at New York University Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Refqa Abu-Remaileh<\/strong>, Professor of Modern Arabic Literature and Film at the Department of Semitic and Arabic Studies at Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin and Principal Investigator of the European Research Council (ERC) project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geschkult.fu-berlin.de\/en\/e\/palread\/index.html\">PalREAD-Country of Words<\/a>: Reading and Reception of Palestinian Literature from 1948 to the present (2018-2023)<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kindly note that attendance is limited to 70 pax and requires registration.
