HOW WE ARE TAKING BACK THE NET FROM FACEBOOK AND GOOGLE<\/h2>\n

In Silicon Valley, a few tech giants have built up global media monopolies. Corporations such as Google and Facebook are addictive and are only free, convenient and attractive at first glance. Renowned journalist Corinna Milborn and media founder Markus Breitenecker show how the concentration of power by platform companies is destroying our democracy and outline what we can do about it. They develop new ideas for a public service mandate that supports the European media in developing their own (social) media destinations with quality standards, focussing on cooperation rather than competition in order to stand up to the US tech monopolies.<\/p>\n
