The Kreisky Forum will remember Eva Kreisky with respect and appreciation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eva Kreisky was born Hannelore Eva Zgraja in Vienna on 8 September 1944. She studied actuarial mathematics and modern computing techniques at the Vienna University of Technology and law at the University of Vienna. In 1969, she began a second degree in political science at the University of Vienna. In 1971, Kreisky received her doctorate in law from the University of Vienna, and in 1987 she qualified as a professor of political science. After a professorship in Berlin, she was a full professor at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Vienna from 1993 until her retirement in 2012, where she also headed the institute for nine years.<\/p>\n<p>The daughter-in-law of former Federal Chancellor Bruno Kreisky, her research focussed on political theory and the history of ideas, theories of the state and institutions, parliamentarianism and democracy research, the politics of gender relations as well as Jewish political history and anti-Semitism in Austria.<\/p>\n<p>In 1999, Eva Kreisky received the Gabriele Possanner State Prize \"for achievements that promote gender democracy\", and in 2008 the K\u00e4the Leichter State Prize for Women's Studies, Gender Studies and Equality in the World of Work.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011, the project platform \"Jewish Representation and Anti-Semitism in the Austrian Parliament, 1861-1938\", which she developed and led together with Matthias Falter and Saskia Stachowitsch, was awarded the Margaretha Lupac Foundation's Science Prize.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":2743,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":""},"news-kategrie":[48],"class_list":["post-2742","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news-kategrie-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>In Erinnerung an Prof.in Dr.in Eva Kreisky - Kreisky Forum<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kreisky-forum.org\/en\/news\/in-memory-of-dr-in-eva-kreisky\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_GB\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"In Erinnerung an Prof.in Dr.in Eva Kreisky - Kreisky Forum\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"In der Nacht zum 14.
