Hartmut Rosa
Friedrich Schiller University Jena
The rapid acceleration of social life is one of the most striking features of the present day, but is often overlooked in the social sciences. Hartmut Rosa has laid the groundwork in this regard with his authoritative research. In his lecture, he will explain how a critical social theory that takes the connection between acceleration and alienation seriously must be formulated. The focus will be on the question of the good life - and why we are often unable to lead such a life today.
