The Bruno Kreisky Forum is an independent think-and-do tank, a hub for ideas and a mediation forum, a laboratory for politically, economically and socially relevant solutions for the future. The Forum is a programm implementing agency for international organisations, governmental and non-governmental institutions and cooperates with schools. We operate across ideological, religious, and party-political lines. The focus and methods of the Forum are inspired by one of the most important Austrian politicians and chancellors of the 20th century. The Forum was founded in 1991, one year after Bruno Kreisky's death, on the initiative of the then Federal Chancellor Franz Vranitzky together with long-time companions of Kreisky. The organisation and its projects are financially supported by the City of Vienna, various federal ministries, the Austrian National Bank and private sponsors, including the Karl Kahane Foundation. The premises of Bruno Kreisky's former residence at Armbrustergasse 15, 1190 Vienna, can also be rented. Applications for internships and student employment are welcome.
