WOMEN IN THE BRD AND GDR 1949-1990-2015: TWO HALVES OF A WHOLE?

As a kick-off event for the conference
WOMEN IN POST-COMMUNIST COUNTRIES. A NEGLECTED PROBLEM?
an evening will be held at the Bruno Kreisky Forum on Wednesday, 21 October 2015, at which Women's Minister Gabriele HEINISCH-HOSEK and Vienna City Councillor for Women Sandra FRAUENBERGER will make the opening statements. The keynote speech will be given by the best-known representative of the German women's movement and founder/editor of the women's magazine EMMA:

This will be followed by a short discussion with Alice Schwarzer, the German sociologist Uta Schlegel and the curator of the conference, Slavenka Drakulic, which will be moderated by Eva Nowotny, member of the board of the Bruno Kreisky Forum.
