ULRIKE HERRMANN

»The prevailing economic doctrine does not reflect reality. Smith, Marx and Keynes, on the other hand, contain almost everything we need to understand our economic system.«

Why do financial crises occur? Why are the rich rich and the poor poor? How does money work? Where does growth come from? Even children ask these questions - but economists can't answer them. Many tinker with theoretical models that have nothing to do with reality. Unfortunately, the mistakes made by economists not only cost billions, but also human lives. If you want to understand what is going wrong, you need to know the classics: Adam Smith, Karl Marx and John Maynard Keynes. They are hardly taught at universities, taught incorrectly or no longer taught at all. Yet these three theorists provided the best answers. They need to be rediscovered.
