Unconditional basic income?

Is the unconditional basic income (UBI), i.e. money for everyone without anything in return, the great utopia of a liberated human life or the degradation of people to charity recipients? In any case, the UBI with all its unanswered questions is a revolutionary idea that would change our society from the ground up.
