Politics and the media are losing credibility, democracy has been tarnished, good manners are deteriorating, family and church hardly offer any support and nobody really wants to believe that the future will be better. How did it get this far? And what comes next? Franz Vranitzky organises the chaos. Using examples from his life experience, he shows why we should return to the values of enlightenment such as rationality, tolerance, solidarity and respect right now, and what they bring to politics, public discourse and each individual.
