On the occasion of the acquisition as a permanent loan in the field of mobility, the Vienna Technical Museum and the Bruno Kreisky Forum cordially invite you to the presentation of Bruno Kreisky's VW 1303 Beetle Convertible.

Clothes make the man, they say, and the same applies to cars. After all, a car is not just a means of transport, but also an object of consumption, a social marker, i.e. an object with which the owner's position within society is associated. Bruno Kreisky was well aware of this, and his choice of a car for his holiday home on Mallorca was probably also a conscious decision. This leisure car thus allows for a variety of reflections on Kreisky, automotive history in general and that of the 1970s in particular.
