ERICH FENNINGER IN CONVERSATION WITH VIKTORIA REISINGER

CHILD POVERTY IN AUSTRIA

More and more children and young people do not have the same opportunities for a successful life because their families are affected by poverty. They do not have adequate winter clothing, are often ill and can never go on holiday. This excludes them from social life.
In Austria, 232,000 children under the age of 14 are at risk of poverty. Erich Fenninger and Viktoria Reisinger discuss the causes of child poverty in Austria, the various dimensions of poverty and what is needed to combat it as effectively as possible.

Viktoria Reisinger, Political scientist, consultant at the Women's Office of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labour and author for the A&W blog

Erich Fenninger, Federal Managing Director of Volkshilfe Österreich
