ECONOMIC SECURITY POLICY IN A FRAGMENTING WORLD ORDER
Geopolitical developments have created profound security policy challenges for European countries. Coping with these developments requires an understanding of the emerging, fragmented world order. This has become a turning point for the economy as well: what challenges do the high-tech industry, vital infrastructures and the labour market in Europe and Styria face in an increasingly fragmented world order, in which security and protectionism are increasingly taking precedence over innovation? How can innovative local and European businesses survive in global competition? What solutions are being discussed in industrial, energy, innovation and climate policy, and which of them can be implemented in these times of fiscal constraints and geopolitical rivalries?
