Lecturer at Harvard and Berkeley, internationally translated author and editor of numerous books.

Moderation Robert Misik, journalist and author

The cornerstones of our current world order have begun to totter: We are experiencing post-democracy, the resurgence of authoritarian forces and the replacement of liberalism as the guiding principle of the Western world. Civil war, terror, propaganda and cyber attacks are now replacing interstate wars. More and more countries around the world are succumbing to the authoritarian temptation, and the rise of China clearly shows that capitalism does not necessarily need democracy.
The experienced diplomat and UN Special Envoy Wolfgang Petritsch provides an insight into global political scenarios and sketches a confident picture of our future world order. The future can be shaped, and our grandchildren could also live in peace and prosperity - if we act in time.
