In November 1997, Albert Lichtblau spent five days interviewing Simon Wiesenthal for the USC-Shoah Foundation's contemporary witness collection.
Wiesenthal's tirelessness, perseverance and tenacity in bringing the perpetrators of the Nazi mass murder of Jews to justice brought justice to the millions of victims of the Nazi dictatorship.
Breaking the silence and giving the victims a voice remains his achievement - as one of the 500 survivors of the 150,000 Jews of Lviv.

The historical interview with Simon Wiesenthal will be shown in full length in six parts on six consecutive Sunday afternoons from 12 January to 16 February 2020 at the Austrian Film Museum. After the presentation, experts and companions will discuss the narrative in greater depth, contributing their own experiences, scientific and anecdotal information.

In co-operation with the Vienna Wiesenthal Institute for Holocaust Studies and the Austrian Film Museum, the Kreisky Forum presents the interview section „WE ARE ALONE - ALONE!“
Interview date: 20 November 1997, length: 92 min.

In co-operation and with the support of: Vienna Wiesenthal Institute for Holocaust Studies (VWI), Austrian Film Museum, Jewish Museum Vienna and USC Shoah Foundation
