In his current book KULTKANZLER KREISKY. Myth and Man, just published by Carl Ueberreuter Publishing House, The domestic policy journalist Christoph Kotanko has conducted numerous interviews with close associates of Bruno Kreisky.

One of these is Margit Schmidt, who accompanied Kreisky as his assistant for decades through all the highs and lows. From the founding of the Bruno Kreisky Forum for International Dialogue in 1991 until 2004, she was its Secretary General.
