BRUNO KREISKY AWARDS FOR SERVICES TO HUMAN RIGHTS
On 9 June 2017, the Bruno Kreisky Human Rights Awards were presented at the Austrian National Library. However, the main prizewinner was unable to accept her prize in person: Asli Erdogan (50), writer, honoured "for her outstanding services to the protection of human rights", is still not allowed to leave Turkey. Her lawyer accepted the award on her behalf.
