A learning process 1918-2018

On 27 February 2017, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn was a guest in the "Democracy reloaded" series curated by the philosopher.
Kardianl Schönborn looked back on a century of changeful co-operation between the Church and the democratic state in Austria. He looked at important historical stages, from the Church's reactions to the founding of the Republic in 1918 to the signing of the Concordat between the Austrian Federal Government and the Holy See in 1933 and the school treaties in 1962, right up to the present day. The relationship between Bruno Kreisky and Cardinal König was also discussed.
