On the 110th birthday of Bruno Kreisky: NOBODY IS PERFECT
Bruno Kreisky would have been 110 years old on 22 January 2021.
Kreisky was Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria from 1970 to 1983 and shaped and changed our country like almost no other politician. At the beginning of his life, he fought for Austria against the fascist regime, and as Federal Chancellor he successfully fought for a progressive Austria. Bruno Kreisky made society a great deal fairer, modernised it and humanised the world of work.
The philosopher, writer and literary critic Franz Schuh wrote a remarkable speech on the occasion of his 110th birthday entitled NOBODY IS PERFECT. BRUNO KREISKY AND THE TERM OF POLITICS.
