On the 80th birthday of Emmy Werner

AS IF THEY WERE CALLED EMMA
‚The seagulls all look as if they were called Emma‘ - Christian Morgenstern's seagull song accompanies the life of the princess on the pea soup as well as the play in her table theatre. This play was Emmy Werner's refuge during the war and a substitute for her own room. It was also a trigger for her later career choice ...
An unconventional woman takes a very personal look at ageing, living alone and theatre work. Humorous, critical, but also courageous and encouraging.
On 6 December 2018 Emmy Werner talks to journalist Hans Rauscher about her eventful life at the Kreisky Forum.
