The Shoah and the Nakba: two different primeval catastrophes

When Palestinians are asked about the Shoah, they typically bring up the Nakba, the expulsions in connection with the founding of the state of Israel.
For the Israeli Holocaust researcher Amos Goldberg and the Palestinian political scientist Bashir Bashir, curator of the Kreisky Forum, this experience was the impetus to develop a concept of dialogue about national traumas. With their post-colonial perspective, they challenge the criticism of colleagues.
