Najem Wali, an Iraqi writer living in Germany, was awarded the Bruno Kreisky Prize for the Political Book 2014 for his novel "Baghdad marlboro" on 9 March in Vienna. Press of 13 March 2015, he writes "about the NSA and the Middle East and the old Kreisky, about my homeland, Iraq, about a Europe in discord in 2015 and my own interwoven history. The resistance: a speech."
