On the one hand, schools are seen as the central institution that, as an „integration machine“, should bear the main burden of a pluralised society and thus solve all social problems. On the other hand, we read about "distress calls" from teachers and horror stories about hotspot schools, which contribute to further problems rather than solutions.
So how can reality and the ideal be brought closer together? And what would be suitable strategies to achieve this?
