Naika Foroutan
is a social scientist at the Humboldt University of Berlin and Deputy Director of the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (www.bim.hu-berlin.de). Her research and teaching activities focus on topics such as migration, integration and the transformation of immigration countries; images of Islam and Muslims in Germany; identity and hybridity. Naika Foroutan has received numerous awards, including the Berlin Integration Prize in 2011 and the Fritz Behrens Foundation Science Prize for excellent research in 2012
