Cathrin Kahlweit

Born 1959 in Göttingen, publicist and moderator.
Kahlweit was the Süddeutsche Zeitung's correspondent for Central and Eastern Europe and is the author of several books on Eastern European history, society, and feminism. For her reporting, she was repeatedly nominated for the Stern Prize and the Theodor Nannen Prize, and was awarded the JdJ Prize for her lifetime achievement.
Kahlweit's expertise encompasses the politics and society of Central and Eastern Europe, with a particular focus on Ukraine, as well as Austrian and German contemporary history.
