“On Hegemonies and Alliances” is a yearly conference covering the antagonistic and troubled region of Middle East and Gulf countries. In cooperation with the Department for Security Policy of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Defence and partner institutes from Europe and Turkey, a wide variety of think-tankers, officials, experts, and scholars from Europe, the Middle East, Russia and the USA gather regularly under Chatham House Rule to analyse developments and tendencies with repercussions on the international and European level.
