Transatlantica
Curator: Eva Nowotny

Despite the international financial and economic crisis, and despite the many fundamental changes in international relations the transatlantic relationship remains of central importance. The U.S. and the European Union are not only the most significant mutual economic partner and stand together for most of the world economy, they are also in political terms, a guarantee for a global order, based on the respect for international law and human rights, the “rule of law “.
The lecture series “transatlantica” takes this significant partnership into account and tries to provide information to the Austrian public, political elite and media by inviting interesting and partly controversial experts from both sides of the Atlantic and to sharpen the focus and clarify misunderstandings.
